Katching up

16Apr12

Eldest daughter came home at Easter and introduced us to a TV programme called the Kardashians. This is one of the benefits of the digital age.

I have just watched a few minutes. It is like Thunderbirds, but with weaker characters and less realistic acting. I am not sure what the plot is about.

I am gradually realising how much of life I have missed by not watching the telly.

I have a daughter who doesn’t watch the Kardashians (personally I thought they were a race from Star Trek) but does watch equally inane programmes about bakeries in New Jersey (Cake King or some such equally inane name) and teenage 16 year old mothers from the US.
I have given up watching TV – in fact the only time I watch TV now is when I am in a hotel in Norwich or London due to travelling for work.
Actually I don’t think I am missing out on anything and I am spending a heck of a lot more time speaking to people instead 🙂

It’s life, Alex, but not as we know it.
