Work out
07Sep10
Once again I’m in the pleasant but unnerving position of having no gainful employment.
This is not that same as having nothing to do. I’ve got loads of things to do. None of them are lucrative. Some of them are tedious. Some of them are fun. The biggest problem is prioritisation. So I follow the path of least resistance and concentrate on doing the fun things.
With any luck I’ll be able to spin out the fun activities until I get another revenue earning project. Then I can reasonably argue that the tedious tasks have to be delayed while I pay the bills.
This means that the wasps nest in the garden should reach a seasonal quiescence before I get round to doing anything about it.

Alex, what you need to do is a complete re-vamp of the washing line. A day spent on that now will make Mrs R happy (which is obviously your ultimate goal in life) and also put an end to those failures warranting emergency repairs, that could happen when you are gainfully employed and not about to do it.
Simples.
John – your undoubted wisdom conflicts with my motto: “if it works, don’t fix it”… 🙂
