Low flying nuisance

A helicopter passed alarmingly low over the house.  I rushed out of the garage to look up and shake my fist. The helicopter ignored me.

I went back inside to get the lawnmower.

I drove the mower over a wasp’s nest in the grass. A large number of wasps rushed out to look up and shake their fists at me.

At the edge of the lawn I turned round and drove back into a cloud of wasps, which is how I noticed that there was a wasp’s nest in the lawn. I shut my mouth and narrowed my eyes. The wasps let me pass.

The nest is away from the house. Wasps are good for the garden (except that they are eating all the plums before I can pick them). I will leave them unmolested.

If they don’t like the mower that is their fault for choosing to live below restricted airspace.
