Pussy cat, pussy cat where have you been?
I’ve been to London to check the winter fashions.
Some readers may remember my posting from Moscow last winter, when I noted that hats were the big trend. Well, that fashion wave has reached London, with an added Cool Britannia twist.
Hats and wellies are the new black on the streets of the West End. The wellies need to be green enough to say “my main house is in the country, I’m just staying in town for a day or two”. As for the hat, anything goes, as long as it says “I’ve got a hat.”
The big hat trend is fur. Most wearers like to think that the fur is rabbit or artificial.
Has anyone seen a cat slinking across a London road this winter. No? I’m not making any allegations, but the disappearance of felines and the abundance of smart new fur hats may not be coincidental…
