Summer is here. My blogging will become less frequent. I haven’t forgotten you. I’m just busy relaxing. With my children. It will soon be over.

What will soon be over? The summer, the relaxing, the children (my haven’t you grown quickly) – or is it actually all three?

Enjoy the summer and hope the tennis court holds up and you can win some games against the children.

Tip from one of my children – if you are going to use a portable barbeque at a park put some stones underneath it. That way the grass will not burn (Tip actually came from a policeman who gave their group this tip after they had singed the grass

Sounds like you have a lovely (hot?) summer ahead of you with the children and Mrs R! enjoy it because as you say it will all be over soon.
That’s one of the things I miss about school, the long summer off….bliss!

I want a holiday….!! who is going to pay for it? 😉

Your recent picture of the 3rd plinth reminded me of a recent discussion between an Englishman, a Welshwoman and an Italian.

The phrase ‘hobby-horse’ came up! Where did that come from…. and how do I decode it for my colleagues?????

Hi Rachel – having just spent a couple of weeks in Italy I’m pretty sure that hobby-horse can be represented with a hand gesture. Or a shrug and pout combination.
